May Blog

May 2010

It's been a while since my last blog, and things have gone a bit quite after the Granite City Rally, so time for an update! So, firstly the Granite City Rally. We hired the new Ford Fiesta R2 form Greer Motorsport, our first time out in the car and first time in left hand drive. It was a great car to drive and really rewarding, although we struggled to get to grips with the left hand drive throughout the day. I would love to do more events in the car, but at the moment we have nothing planned.

We were doing the Granite for Cash for Kids, a local charity in Aberdeen and shire. We're working on another project with Cash for Kids at the moment and hope to announce it in July.

I also took part in a karting grand prix in Glasgow for the Yorkhill Children's Foundation, with the Colin McRae Vision 'If in Doubt?Flat out' team consisting of David Bogie, John Crawford, David Wilson and me. It was a fantastic event with some interesting racing incidents including David Bogie narrowly missing a flying wheel - Massa style! It was made even better because we won too!

I'm working flat out to try and sell my Fiesta ST and get out in a new car. We're hoping to a few rallies before the Rally of Scotland, a round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. It's been a really busy few months and things look to be just as busy over the coming months too.

If you want to ask me or Andrew anything feel free to fire your questions to info@steviebrown.co.uk

Okay, I'm off on the mountain bike now!!

Cheers for now,
