Brown Announces Subaru Drive

December 2010

Scottish rally driver Stevie Brown has today announced exciting plans to contest the Scottish Rally Championship (SRC) behind the wheel of a Subaru Impreza. The Aberdeen driver will tackle the eight round series alongside regular co-driver Andrew Roughead.

The SRC has established itself as one of Europe’s premier rallying series, attracting many of the brightest talents in the sport. “We’re really looking forward to next season, and we are working hard to get a deal together to allow us to contest the full championship” explained Stevie. He continues, “There are so many talented drivers doing the SRC that you need to put in a lot of work before you’ve even started an event to be competitive.”

The inaugural Colin McRae tribute award winner is planning a busy off season, “between working with engineers to become more familiar with the diff and suspension settings, meeting with sponsors and maintaining our training its going to be a busy few months” says Stevie.

Inverness will play host to the championship curtain-raiser on February 19 for the Snowman Rally, an event famed for its difficult and often icy conditions and high speed stages.
