KINGDOM STAGES

October 2012

This weekend Stevie Brown and co-driver Andrew Falconer will line up to start the final rally of their 2012 season at the Kingdom Stages. The 50 mile event, which also forms the final round of the Scottish Tarmac Rally Championship will see 75 teams tackle the tricky event, which is famed for its slippery surface and high speeds.

“If it’s raining it’s going to be slippy all day, but if its dry, I’m expecting the first few stages to be slippy, then it might improve a bit later. Ice may also play a big factor”  explained the Dunlop Tyres backed driver.

Saturdays event will mark the first time Stevie has done a rally after a six month sabbatical. Stevie swapped his driving gloves for a microphone on the recent Tunnocks Mull Rally, when he provided live reports with World Rally Radio. While it has been over a year since Andrew and Stevie last competed together, having last teamed up on the 2011 Speyside Stages. “Andrew is a really experienced co-driver, and he’ll do a great job. This weekend is just a bit of fun, we’re not driving for any championship points, so we’re just going out there to enjoy ourselves” said Stevie.
